PWP Wellbeing Survey

“Services with good staff wellbeing are more sustainable and make the most difference to the lives of those they are helping”

In February 2016, the Charter for Psychological Staff Wellbeing and Resilience was launched by the British Psychological Society, New Savoy Conference, supported by Public Health England. The Charter calls for a greater focus on support for staff wellbeing in psychological services.

The charter was developed, in part, in response to 2 recent surveys of wellbeing amongst psychological professionals, which asked for participant’ views on stress, mood and wellbeing, as well as impact of work: the findings of the most recent survey (2015) indicated that respondents were increasingly reporting feelings of failure and depression as well as a relentless focus on targets.
