We are pleased to announce that we published the Psychological Professions Workforce Plan for England with a Priority Action Annexe. This plan will support the expansion of the psychological professions workforce at an unprecedented rate, by approximately 10,500 posts by 2024 (60% growth) to meet the psychological needs of service users, carers and families.
It is a tool that aims to support local systems to deliver the growth in psychological professions that their wider mental health plans require and use the diverse psychological profession roles effectively. We will now need to work with you our partners to make this ambitious programme a reality.
To ensure this is shared widely, please can you disseminate the plan to your networks and across your communication channels? We have attached some suggested copy for you to use.
Note: We have arranged to present this plan at the upcoming Chief Psychological Professions Officer and National Psychological Professions Workforce Stakeholder Group meetings.
Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss this plan.
We would like to thank you for the support you have given and continue to provide to help us expand the psychological professions workforce for England.
