Now more than ever, workforce supply for the health and care professions is a critical consideration for the future - and that has implications on right now. The north west needs to ensure that the pipelines for future workforce supply meet future demand and ensure we have the right people, with the right qualifications, in the right place, at the right time. Growth through apprenticeships is an option available to every employer in the region as we collectively seek to ensuring these workforce pipelines moving forwards.
As part of our response to this, Health Education England North West have arranged two Apprenticeships in Primary Care: Employer Engagement Events to tell employers about some exciting plans to develop apprenticeships within Primary Care across the North West. The sessions are either 12.30pm to 3.00pm on Thursday 5th November or 1.00pm to 3.30pm on Friday 13th November.
The sessions will provide information about:
- the aims and outcomes of the plan; apprenticeships and support available;
- how apprenticeships can be used to develop the workforce and to support workforce transformation;
- what work we will be doing to ensure apprenticeship provision meets the needs of Primary Care;
- and some examples of how apprenticeships have been used to support the Primary Care Workforce.
We would like to encourage employers to join us to find out what we are doing, what it means for Primary Care and how they can get involved.
Please see the event flyer attached for further details, the dates and times available and how to book your place.
