SBK Healthcare/IAPT NNF Event - PWP Foundation Skills Forum, Manchester – 28th November 2019

Whether you prefer to bring a notepad and simply soak up ideas or want to bring specific challenges to discuss on the day, these foundation skills workshops provide a unique opportunity to progress your PWP knowledge and abilities. Join an ever-expanding national network of dedicated PWPs to experience:

  • Skills based workshops that with enhance your current knowledge
  • Unique networking and benchmarking of your individual and team approaches

As a PWP you need to keep up to date, and this forum will look at the opportunities for upskilling and the current understanding of therapeutic drift by sharing recent:

  • • Research on delivering evidence-based treatment and evidence of therapeutic drift
    • Current engagement and interpersonal techniques to ensure therapeutic engagement

By moving from the presentation element onto skills practice – these useful workshops will inform you with evidence-based ideas to enable you to achieve your goals and get people engaged. Team attendance is recommended as there is a choice of three foundation skills to study: 

  • Practical approaches to improve your telephone guided self-help skills
  • Implementing adjustments for people with learning disabilities
  • Successfully managing group-based Interventions
