What’s been happening?

It’s been a while…

It’s been a really busy summer.  Clare has been in touch with many of you to help in setting up special interest groups – counselling and trainees most recently.  Also, links have been made for network members to contribute to multi-professional CPD, CAMHS advisory groups and the specialist clinical networks, developing research opportunities.

We’re continuing to work out which meetings and fora that the PPN can contribute to and also ensure that a psychological voice is present and visible.  The contribution of PPN members is invaluable – we couldn’t do it without you.

So what does this all mean? We’re still growing but also trying to consolidate the work of the network.  We’ve been trying to spread the word and engage with all of you to contribute to the network.  We’re also looking at how we can support area of interest to network members and grow our community. At the same time, we’ve looking at how we can influence the wider world whether in education, workforce, CPD, research and other areas of good practice.

So what next?  Our 2015 annual conference is on 4th March and we’re looking at a theme of how psychology can contribute?  For that, we will be looking to celebrate and showcase how psychology has contributed and will be looking for your contribution to the day and making it a network event for all of us.  Look out for the posts and tweets that will be appearing over the next few months about this.
